Explore the ocean with Composer-in-Residence Bronwyn Edwards and others. Britten pays homage to St. Cecilia, born of the ocean. Two recent masterworks by Mäntyjärvi and Van Dijk tell of oceanic tragedies: a sinking ferry and the European conquest in southern Africa. But the joys of the sea are never far away in this concert.
