Angel in the Snow
Winter is a time for coming together. We all contend with the cold and struggle amid the diminishing of the light. But, with music, we can find common purpose. In this concert, texts for Christmas and the winter season combine to celebrate the many ways in which humanity binds together against adversity. We feature several Northwest composers—Bern Herbolsheimer, Naomi LaViolette, Susan Maughlin Wood, John Muehleisen, Karen P. Thomas, and Giselle Wyers—and even a new work from the pen of our conductor, Gary D. Cannon.

John Muehleisen – The Gathering (2019)
Bern Herbolsheimer – Silent Night (2000)
Dale Trumbore – The Christmas Rose (2014)
Susan Maughlin Wood – Consolatus lux (2024)
Stephen Paulus – The Road Home (2001)
